Hello,
I recently got a new pc with XP on it. This is my first home experience with XP (no pun intended!). In win2000 and my work xp pc they both have the SHOW DESKTOP icon on the taskbar to allow easy access to your desktop icons. How do I enable this on XP SP2????
Thanks
Kevin

Or you can just switch to the "Classic" Windows desktop which shows the quick launch bar by default. Personally, I hated all the new desktop, navigation, and start menu features of XP and instead use a setup that looks identical to my old Windows 98 one. I especially dislike the Mac-like "3D" taskbar and buttons.
Right click on the START button and select properties to switch to classic. -

Thanks 888888 and Bazooka. Though I'm happy enough with the "Standard" XP interface

Who needs a button? Windows Logo Key + D = Show Desktop. :P
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.
