Right now I have 2 waking up methods
1. When I sleep 10pm to wake up 7am - When I usually sleep early I wake up at the exact time in the morningI dunno but I just tell myself I need to wake up at 7am and I do sometimes a few minutes earlier.
BUT
2. When I sleep 4am to wake up 7am - I have a stereo set to turn on at 6am with the volume on HIGH + alarm clock + cell phone + Moms comes in screaming. My sleep even sleeps thru noise, fire, rain, wind whatever. If my mom wouldnt come in i would sleep like i do on the weekends; till 2-3PM.
I'll put it this way. My alarm is so loud that my neighboor wakes up and goes to work. He uses my alarm to wake up.He said that it doesnt bother him becuase thats when he goes to work anyway.
How do you manage to get up every morning?

I have a Fossil alarm clock that is about a foot in diameter. It usually wakes me up.

Hello,
Alarm clock radio. I can't stand BUZZER alarms...
Music always works
KevinDonatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
I use a combo of alarm and a clock radio. I'm not a morning person. (Especially if I stay up till midnight messing with a computer.) Takes me about an hour before I'm fully functional. Fortunatelly, I'm the boss, so nobody notices.

It truly is the alarm clock from hell.... it has a loud shrieky blaring annoying beeping sound that makes you want to jump from the roof just to get it to stop...... -
Wife flashes me - then I'm up...
She flashes the lights on ad off when it's my turn for the shower. -
Open eyes, get up. I like to be up by 5:30, so as long as I go to bed by 12:00, I'll just wake up at 5:30. If I go to bed before 11:00, then I'm usually up at 4:00.

I don't sleep often or long, but when sleeping you could hold an AC/DC concert in my bedroom and I'd never know. -
Alarms set on 2 cell phones at opposite ends of the bed. Usually does the trick. Sometimes when I've been working several odd shifts I've been known to sleep through just about anything.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore. -
i just remembered this morn method of hitting the snooze. grabbed the keyboard layin on the ground sittin next to my bed and stretched it out end to end so it was juuust long enough to hit that button.
usually the long sony remote is long enough to reach
so even though it's out of reach im lazy enough to find another way not to get out of bed to reach it

I don't know if anyone still sells them, but I had wanted to pick up one of those alarm 'lamps' that gradually get brighter and brighter to wake you up. Kinda like waking up to the sunrise, not so abrupt as an alarm clock.

Nokia cellphone alarm clock. It changed my life. No longer late to class every day.

If I do have to wake up early I'll normally use my mobile phone which can go off every minute if you want it to + clock radio + built in alarm on hi-fi set to loud + note to my parents/brother telling them to wake me up if I'm still not up. -
I have two alarms. First is my Nokia, which fades in some music. I woke up to Cypress Hill - Hits From The Bong this morning. If that fails, I've got my alarm clock set for ten minutes later. It gives off an obnoxious buzzing sound.
I can sometimes sleep through the whole lot.

Hmm....seems I am out of the ordinary. I am the human alarm clock. If I want to wake up at 7am....I automatically wake up at that time. I used to have to be at work at 5:30am....I beat the alarm clock almost every time....unless I was out late drinking....which is very rare anyway.

I have an old LED digital alarm clock that has just the right alarm ...just enough to wake me but not enough to trigger cardiac arrest.
Then I throw on my robe and make a beeline for the coffee pot -
i use my cell phone, it lays with me in the bed.. i have 3 alarms on it.. 2 are set 15 min apart.. im a very light sleeper.. but i also fall back to sleep very easy.. i dont need loud noise or lots of alarms.. just need to keep reminding me to get up.. i am a night person all the way.. i hate mornings.. with a passion.. and i dont drink coffee, i do however drink mountain dew at work.. prolly 3 a day of the 20oz bottles.
dont know if the still sell it in Europe or down under.. but for main stream pop its full of caffine and sugar.. rotts teeth like no other -
Normal clock radio set on maximum volume...unless I'm really tired that does the trick.
