I've used TMGPenc to extract VOB files from my DVD recorder, which converts them to mpeg format. However, when I try to re-author them back do DVD with MYSONICDVD, The program crashes and tells me they are invalid MPEG2 files. These files play fine in WMP (or any other player for that matter). Is there a program which will ensure these files are correct for authoring?

Womble mpeg-vcr will open vob files and you can save them as mpeg.
