  1. When I had WKS 1, I had a template called CIF that came with the program, that allowed me to burn DVDs using 352x240, 29.97, and 44100 Hz stereo sound. In WKS 2 there is no such template and when I tried to create one the audio option was grayed out - could not be changed and all I can use is 48KHz. I can create such a template in the VCD section of the program.

I know that the standard I am using is for VCDs, but is there a way of making this template in WKS 2 for burning 6 hrs of DVD clips? I find the quality to be adequate for my purposes and all I am trying to do is cram as much video onto the disc as I can. There seems to be a 100 meg difference in the disk capacity. When I use 44.1KHz I have 4.2 gigs of space available. With 48KHz, there seems to be only 4.1 gigs of space available

    Thank you.

    DVD is not 44.1kHz
It is 48 and only 48.

I think you're going about this all wrong.
Redo audio to 192k 48kHz AC3 in Besweet.
    That's quite small. 60MB/hour

  3. Thank you lordsmurf, you are correct. Upon further checking of the CIF parameters I noticed that it says 48KHz. I guess my confusion centered on the fact that I have been using TMPGenc to convert to 352x240, 44.1KHz and I have been burning those files successfully, using the CIF setting. I can redo the audio to 48KHz with TMPGenc and everything will be OK. Again, I am not too concerned about the quality of the output.
