  1. Hi

I have created a Nero image which I afterwards burn on a CD. Using Nero ImageDrive I mount the drive and compare the the files on the 2 drives. But the MPEG2 file always differs. Is it impossible to read the mpeg track correct or do I have an other problem.
I have a 24x Plextor and I have tried to burn both at full speed & 4x.

  2. I'm pretty sure that when you burn an MPEG2 into an SVCD format, the file sizes are no longer the same. The best way to varify that the burn was completed without errors would be to tick the "Varify" box in the Nero Burn window. That way, immediately after the CD is burned, Nero will check it against the original MPEG2 file for CRC errors, etc.

I think that is how it goes...

  3. Hi

I think you misread my post. What I mean is that I create a SVCD image from the source MPEG2, (choose imagewriter in Nero). Then I mount this .nrg file which has all the files that usually are on a SVCD disc. The MPEG2 filesize are mayby also different from the original MPEG2.
Then I burn this image to a CDR and it is between these 2 that I always have the difference.

As I remember the verify box in Nero is not availeble for SVCD's.

  4. oh, ok. It was just a thought about the varify box. I never varify. If it plays without glitches, I'm usually happy with that.
