To preface, when it's I don't have videos or weddings to film, I pick up a few hours working security at the local walmart to supplement income. Yesterday, I worked from 7am to 5pm...here's are some of the REAL questions I got and the REAL answers I got...just a warning...if you choose option B, you are an idiot!!!![]()
1)you drive up to the walmart lot and see NO cars in the lot, you...
a)figure it's closed for Thanksgiving and leave.
b)say, 'awesome, great parking' and park your car to shop.
2)you drive up to the walmart lot and see NO cars in the lot, you...
a)figure it's closed and leave.
b)get out and yank the doors for 3 minutes before you give up.
3)after failing question 1, you walk up to the electric doors and they don't open for you, you...
a)dawns on you that they're closed.
b)figure the doors are broken so if you back up and try the electric doors again that they'll open.
4)you drive up to the walmart lot and see NO cars in the lot, you...
a)figure it's closed and leave
b)ask the security dude in the lot if they're closed.
5)after failing question 5, you...
a)get a clue when I'm laughing at you and leave.
b)ask, "are you SURE..."
6)after failing question 6, you...
a)leave humiliated after the security dude laughs his arse off at you
b)ask, "so they're not going to be open at all....or just later this evening?"
These are just SOME of the nuts I endured for ten hours yesterday...stupid walmart customers.![]()

Im glad sears and kmart are merging. Hopefully they can make it. I really hate shopping at walmart. I hate being treated like a criminal if that stupid buzzer goes off as I am walking out the door because the stupid people they hire can't scan the little magnets correctly. That's why I don't shop at circuit city either. At least in my town, they check ALL bags before you leave the store. I won't buy a thing from them ever until they stop that harrassing practice.
Anyhow, my rant is over, back to reading...lolBoy do I love my avatar!

that if he check my bags (He was actually watching as I made my purchase BTW) I would return everything and never shop here again. He checked anyways. I, then, walked directly to the customer service counter and returned every item. That was about $800 in digital cameras, a dvd player and a couple of odds and ends. I haven't been there since and this was about a year ago. I usually would rather shop at Circuit City than Best Buy. They usually have the items they advertise in stock whereas Best Buy usually doesn't.

I refuse to stop and let the Fry's people check my bags, and I've never had any problem with them trying to forcibly stop me. If they did, I'd call the police and bring them up on charges of false search and arrest.
I've heard on other sites that the door nazis have been told "hands off" if someone refuses to let them check the receipt, and just to let them go. That's been my experience, whenever they ask "can I check your receipt?" , I say "No" and just keep walking. They usually just chuckle as I walk past.
I'm sure the same thing would happen at CC or BB, if you do this. Just say "No" and keep walking. You've done nothing wrong and haven't stolen anything, and they have no right or cause for stopping you. At my local CC, there is no one at the door, ever. Guess it depends on the location and how much losses they have. They could eliminate the problem if they set up the check out stands where there is no way of going by without paying, but that'd make too much sense, I guess.Ethernet (n): something used to catch the etherbunny

That's how their high dollar corporate lawyers will probably crush you in a court of law if you actually wanted to push the issue."There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon." -- Raoul Duke

I can't see the problem. I'm quite prepared to show security staff the contents of my bag. What's the hassle? It only takes a second, and let's face it, lots of people steal stuff. If you smile at them while you do it then they feel better, and so will you. Just think how uptight you feel now, a simple smile would have released that tension.

sacajaweeda: You are wrong. I, in fact, returned all items. You seem to act like noone has money. To spend $800 at CC is large for some, but a matter of course for others. Don't be so jealous at others spending habits. And, of course, it's my word versus yours. Subjective argument cannot be won. You simply will not believe me and I have no way of providing proof. And it is a search. You are obviously some sort of department store, electronics or otherwise, manager. Why else would you suggest that a search in not, in fact, a search. Furthermore, why treat the paying customer badly when an employee is at fault? When money walks out the door without sufficient evidence for shoplifting, then they know (or should know) that it is an internal problem. But I guess shit rolls downhill and I didn't know that I was at the bottom. What Circuit City (at least the one that is near me) is doing is in the shady grey area of the law. If they do this outside of the doors leaves them open for lawsuit. But inside is ok? If you shoplift and they search you inside you can say you just put it in your pocket until you get to the register. If you dont shoplift and pay for your stuff and get searched inside the doors, then its...not a search? It is and you know it. To use possibly illegal searches to incriminate your own employees is quite distastful. And, as I have stated, I don't shop there anymore.
tweedlede: Going into a store and shopping knowing that security can and sometimes do whatch what one may do is different than being scrutinized at the door after purchase has been made and they, the security droids, know you haven't stolen a thing. It's quite alarming to many of us actually.Boy do I love my avatar!

I meant where is Red96TA for such morons.
They try to search bags in stores here too. I don't wait for them if there's a line. I either become the front of the line, I walk out unchecked, or I have a security guard chase me across the parking lot. I already waited in line once to checkout. Forget another line.Want my help? EDIT: Lord Smurf posted before this got in...This is for sacajaweeda.
Dude you are so full of corporate shit. I wasn't trying to impress anyone. I was stating a fact.
I was extremely offended at CC and their measure of "lack of trust or faith in their own employees abilities to do their job right and not give shit away for free than it is suspicion of you stealing" (your words). That is bullshit and you know it. You absolutely do not treat the consumer on criminal levels if you feel YOUR employees are at fault. That is one of the worst PR moves I have ever seen, if what you say is true.
My rights were violated by being treated like a criminal. I was asked to show that the purchase I made (which were probably duly noted by security cams) were legitimate. But yet I was asked to have my bag searched. Lovely. I can't believe that you don't see my gripe with this.
I will admit that maybe I should have told the guy no and just walked on, but it just side swiped me. I was really caught off gaurd.Boy do I love my avatar!

Guys... arguing over nothing?
Anyway, the "searches" are worthless here. They spend 2 seconds rummaging the bag, and about 10 seconds slapping a highlighter across the receipt. Some search. Again, I walk around most times if it's a line. Most of them are too afraid to stop anybody anyway.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Most stores and warehouse clubs like COSTCO & SAM'S CLUB all look at what you've bought to compare to your receipt as you exit. I find it funny that COMPUSA has those sensors at the entrance/exit because I bet that thing has buzzed more often after someone who has already paid for their stuff.
is it me but does anyone notice the one's checking the bags are FAT chunky people

sacajaweeda. fucktard. way to make a point.
I cant believe you guys don't mind being searched. Or even the attitude that it is ok. It is irresponsible of the consumer to let this happen.
The droid may not care, but its up to him/her to do it and some of them are so dumb that they will stop at nothing until they have a peep at your bag.
It really is appalling that some consumers don't mind being treated badly.
