  1. Hi, I am trying to make home VCD movies. I got miniDV JVC-310u and computer with firewire, ULEAD videostudio 5.0, and win xp. My camcorder shows nice movie, i can capture it as NTSC DV with Ulead, render as AVI, which seems fine playing on the computer. When I burn it with NERO 5.5 I get a some of pixelation, is it my DVD player (daewoo-5000N) or I need to specify some parameters or something. Please help. I would think I should not loose quality because i go from digital straight on the computer.Help is greatly appreciated, trying to learn this until baby comes.

  2. Why are you rendering to avi??? I don't have video studio but if your making (s)vcd's you'd be better going straight to MPEG and then burning. At the moment your going DV>AVI>MPEG and that will lose quality (think of it like making a vhs copy of a copy)

  3. Oh yea I see. Good point. When I make a new project in Videostudio, which format do you recommend? ex. DVD 720x480, svcd 480x480. does it matter as far as capturing? Then I render as whatever i want VCD or SVCD? thanks again will try both
