  1. The amount of info in this forum is somewhat overwhelming & after checking around i cannot find exactly what i'm looking for...or maybe i have found it, but, due to my lack of computer skills, i'm missing something which is obvious to most people, yet not to me. So any help, no mater how basic, would be really appreciated.

What i want to do is take a DVD-R made on a standalone DVD Recorder, transfer it to my PC & then add a basic menu & chapter points (at correct place instead of how the standalone machine does it).

I've used Pinnacle Studio9 to author my DV films & i'd like to use this program to do the re-authoring,if possible.
I used DVD Decrypter to rip the disc to my harddrive but i cannot work out how to import the extracted file (C:\Untitled\VIDEO_TS\) to into Pinnacle Studio9. Could someone tell me exactly what i need to do please?

Or maybe i should use different software to do this? If so, please give suggestions.

I apologise for my lack of (basic PC?) knowledge.
    Thankyou.

Plenty of authoring and editing apps will open .VOB files. Nero Vision Express 2, Womble MPEG Video Wizard, and a slew of freeware apps in the tools section. You can open, edit and author very easily starting with .VOB files. Used to be you'd have to demux first, but not so anymore

Poke around there and try one of them if Studio 9 won't open it

  3. Thankyou very much for the quick replies.
Got it sorted using Nero Vision Express 3.
