what i need to do is take some clips off of the tv for my home movie... what i've been doing is hooking the A/V plugs from the camcorder to the A/V out of my cable box and recording the clips onto my camcorder then transferring it onto my computer. when i view it on my computer it seems to be pretty decent quality.
Would i get better capture quality if i used a S-video cable?
Would it be better if i got a video capture card? would i get better results(quality-wise)? i want to know before i spend some money on one. thanks for your help!
i don't have a dvd recorder so i can't test how my captures look on a tv... which is my ultimate goal , to show my home movie on my big screen. i just want the best quality video. sorry for the long post!!!
one more question, how many times can i write over my data on my dv before i see any sort of loss of quality? or will i see any loss? thanks!
