Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

Planned, but only for us that are logged in to the forum. Don't tell everyone...or I might have to change it...

Hello,
Gotcha.... Your secret is safe
KevinDonatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
He's a crafty Swede

I had most of 'em blocked using the adblock plugin for Firefox, so I didn't notice at first, byt now that you mention it (I use to see the small "place holders") - Gone! I've clicked some of them by mistake now and then - do these (any web banner ad) really ever generate any sales? I never click on them!

Sure they do Mats. If from nobody else, from the mods here.
Baldrick has instructed us, in addition to spending a minimum of 23 hours a day moderating, to spend an additional 20 minutes a day mindlessly clicking the banner ads over and over so he can pay the bills and make a tidy profit as wellHe's got it all figured out, that guy

I don't mind the banner ads a bit if it helps keep Videohelp afloat -
This site does not use pay-per-click, it uses "impressions" model (at least, as I read it).

Are the ads gone for good?
I clicked on some a few times cause I thought it brought some pennies to the site. It would be good to know how it works.
Anyway it sure unclutters the front page. -
The ads aren't gone. They will only dissapeare while you are logged in to the forum and we logged in are today only about 1% of all impresssssions. But you can still visit our sponsors in the left menu and on the front page.

Firtefox adblocking is on this image only, or "block all images from this server" like "adserver.dontwannasee.com" Very cool feature.

Without any plugin, I can right-click on your sig tag, and select "block images from nepaldigital.com" (God forbid!
). Then I'll never see your tag again (if you don't move it to another server).
With the adblocker plugin, I get the full URL of the image, and can insert a wild card anywhere in the URL to block just this image, or anything from a certain folder at this site, or every image from the site.
Actually speeds up browsing on my humble 512 kbps ADSL connection at home. Yahoo mail is significantly faster - their ad servers must be slow, cause now that I don't have to wait for their ads to load, checking the mail is much faster.

Well that's a little different because it's user initiated. With Norton users (especially if they don't know shit) it can block almost anything as it did for my site and they would never know the difference. I still start popping veins when I think about it.
