DivX goes pinky

Whenever playing a divx file i get this pinky effect, parts of the screen will get a pinky tint, then snap back to normal, then go pinky again.
I have installed the latest divx codec, and when i watch the films in divx players they are fine. BUT i'm trying to make VCD's out of them and though I can work with Virtual Dub, TMPGEnc and VCDGear it doesnt get rid of the pinky thing.
Can anyone suggest how I can go from .avi to (mpg)vcd?
I have followed the how to's to the letter, but like i say it doesnt sort out the pinkyness

I had exactly the same problem with the pinkyness until i uninstalled the angelpotion codecs and installed the Kristal Studio Pack, although the link for it, from vcdhelp didnt work so i found one here:
