  1. Could someone please help me out with this one. Some say it works best with dvddecrypter iso read - iso write and other say it works best with dvd-shrink and burn with nero. How do I get the best result?

  2. without actually doing a dual layer burn, logic would tell me that if you want to do an exact 1:1 copy, use dvddecrypter, however, if you want to remove certain audio tracks, extras, subititles, etc. using dvdshrink and then dvddecrypter to burn.

  3. nero is sporadic in its performance regarding DL.
best option after doing a few DL burns is to us DvdDecrypter,ISO read,ISO write.--it also keeps the layer break the same as the original, and on varied equipment i have,it works on all, even older models that were completely rubbish at reading + or - R discs.

  4. Ok thank´s!
I have the original DVD M:I-2 that I want to backup but I´m getting errors using dvddecrypter iso read - iso write. It looks like the problem appears where the layer break is???? Could someone please help me out on this one.
Could it be that the problem is because of the extra material that the disc contains? The disc contains not just a video_ts folder it contains other folders to, some pc-friendly "shit"??

  5. I dont think that dvddecrypter knows where the layer break is, such that some using the app would know where the layer break is. Aint looked at decrypter that much, but I really dont think it is there.

It sounds more likely that the dvd has some issues with it (i.e. smudges/scratches/gouges, etc.). Try 2 things,

    1. clean the DVD and verify that that arent smudges/scratches, etc.
    2. PLay the dvd for a few seconds in a dvd player using wmp or powerdvd or something.

What is the exact error that you are getting and when?

  6. Just a quick question, have you tried using Clone DVD 2 for DL discs?
