  1. My recorder is displaying U99. Does not matter what I do I can't get the tray to open or the recorder to do anything. The manual says to turn it off and back on however have tried that numerous times. I have even tried unplugging it but nothing helps.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Would you care to expand on that? What exactly does it mean?

  4. Pushing the power button on the unit for 10 seconds is supposed to reset it on my Panasonic.

That code from a Panasonic usually means it is done as in broken, not working, worthless other than maybe as a paperweight.
