  1. I'm working with 3 programs to rip Dvd's:
    1.Smart Ripper
    2.Dvd2Avi
    3.Tmpgenc.
My Question is : In tmpg what's the best bitrate to set for VCD?? I ussually load the standard vcd setting in TMPG (1150)but perhaps if I choose another bitrate ..the Qaulity will be better?
I saw some Dvd rips on VCD that were incredable!
With the standard 1150 bitrate it''s ok ...but I know this can be better.
The reason I don''t burn a svcd is: A lot of DVd's don''t support svcd and as I lent the vcd 's to friends perhaps they won't be able to watch the svcd's.

Well it all depends on what settings you use in tmpge.

There are several you can mess with. If you havent read tmpgenc explained, it might help you understand what tmpge can do for you. Check it out at its new home http://www.vcdhelp.org under the guides section.
