burned dvd, playback problems

i extracted a movie, and the movie file came out as an .img file, which i was told was the same thing as an iso. so then i got daemon tools and mounted the image, i tried to play it on my computer using power dvd 5, everything worked fine, menus, everything seemed fine. so then i burned the image using dvd decrypter. after i burned it, i tried to play it on my comp in powerdvd again, but this time, when i clicked on the dvd drive it gave me the following prompt:
" The DVD's title playback was interrupted before completion. Where would you like to start playback?"
i then can choose one of the following:
-play dvd title from begining
or
-resume playback from last scene.

i choose the first one, and it plays fine on my comp. but when i go to play it on my xbox [with dvd playback kit] and my memorex dvd player, [supports DVD+R format] it reads as no disc. idk what im doing wrong.

i also tried, after mounting the image with daemon tools, was extracting the vob's and other files with dvd decrypter, and burned those files with nero as a minidvd.

It sounds like crappy media (dvd blanks) try another brand.
