ok i have a maxtor 120gb hd on my other pc that has been defragging for about 6 hours, on speed disk it says OPTIMIZING MOVING DATA 33%.....is there something wrong here cuz I have never had a hard drive take this long to defrag....or is it cuz the hard drive was so fragmented to begin with? any replies will be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance!![]()

Well, tbo, it could be both heavily fragmented, and there could be something wrong.
Only you can figure it out though, because I do not have the same computer setup as you. -
That or if you have less than 15% space available on the drive for it to move things around, I've noticed that can slow down defragging considerably. Better off cancelling it and freeing up space first.
FB-DIMM are the real cause of global warming -
