  1. I have a sanyo player that does the same thing, reads regular cd's, except I can't get it to play regular .mpg videos,
    is thier something special you do man?
    do you name the videos just untitled.mpg and they work?

    You're not trying to play a .mpg file on a standalone DVD player are you???

  3. I think retardid is.You have to encode the file to VCD format my friend.Check out the tutorial's on the left to convert to VCD.

  4. actually I am, one guy said that he put a regular data disc with an mpg and it played, his player could play mp3's and vcd's,
    I was wondering how he did it, said it played better then regular vcd's

  5. I dont think that is even possible.I think your friend had no idea how to make a VCD and probably just lied to you.You MUST encode any video file to the proper VCD format for it to play in a DVD Player.Ofcourse I may be wrong,maybe.

    some dvd players can play data mpg files with hacked firmwares...but it is always best to burn as vcd to be sure that it works.

  8. My Apex AD-1500 plays MPEG data discs straight out of the box, no hacking required.
