I was just trying to test my system's dvd ripping speed using dvddecrypter.
Backing up an original dvd, the program took about 45 minutes to finish. Then burn a dvd from the ripped files afterwards.
Tried to copy the files from the burned dvd using the same program and it took only 20 minutes. How come it's faster this time?
I understand decrypting the files from the original dvd would put some load on the system, but it can not be this much time difference, right .
I just envy those guys whose systems can do this in less time than what my system can do.
System specs:
Dual Boot- W2K & WXP
P4-2.8Gig 800FSB
1Gig memory
9600 ATI radeon video card
1-160HDD (for video stuff) DMA enabled
1-120SATA HDD (also for video) DMA enabled
1-40DMA (for the OS's) DMA enabled
Memorex 4X 2.4X 12X dual format
generic dvd rom drive (16X supposedly)![]()
