  1. im going to buy a new apple G4 with a built in burner but i wasnt sure if i should purchase a dvd-r burner is it better to burn +r or -r please help

    well if its a dvd-r burner you can only burn -r's but if it does it both ways it really doesnt matter. there's no real difference between -r and +r. i would just buy whichever is on sale

  4. If you did any research at all, you'd gather that neither format can guarantee universal, problem-free playback.

  6. I have a dual format burner. But which +R or -R disks should I buy
    (assume they are the same price)? Or is "bitsetting" feature for +R
    making it a little attractive than -R? By the way, all my current DVD
    players play both +/- well.

    not getting too far off the original posters thread.... if your dvd players plays both it really doesnt matter. if they're the same price just close your eyes and pick one

  8. If you're looking to be compatible with OTHER PEOPLE'S equipment, my personal experience has led me to DVD-R, but I have a dual format burner because my standalone DVD recorder is +R only.
