    what program will allow me to save a slideshow of still pictures, so that i can use it in tmpgc and then on to dvd authour, or another way of asking what type of file do i need for a slideshow of stills so that it will got into tmpgnc

  2. many ways to skin that cat (so to speak)..some editors do that...also, I have used memories on tv to create a decent slide show then instead of authoring it w/ their tools, taking it's mpeg output and pulling that into other authoring tool...(use options to select save streams and other option not to burn your result).

    you can download a demo from their site (watermark I think)...it should be able to use the tmpgenc encoding but maybe not for the demo - download the mpeg2 plugin as well (which if you have the extra $15 works well if you buy the package)...

    You might also try Slide Show Movie Maker. It will create an AVI of your pics, which can then be imported into TMPGEnc for conversion.

    Best of all, it's FREE!!!
