I've got a Compaq laptop which plays dvd using Intervideo WinDVD. I'm in Australia R4. Any way of making the dvd player region code free?
There is something on the properties (software) in the Current Region setting (R4) which says that Remaining times before permanent '4' but the four is greyed out.
Thanks

To start with, go to the tools section to your left, and go to the REgion Free Tools section. This should give you a start.
Either that or go to http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php and see if there is a hacked firmware for your drive. If in doubt, Google it.
