Sound drivers might be the problem. I remember I used to have noises on my old computer when I scrolled. Don't remember exactly how I fixed it but I think I updated the sound card or mouse drivers.

  4. I have that to, I have a wireless mouse I think it's because I have 2 pcs and speakers and things plugged into all power bars into the same outlet or something with the connections in the back, but I'm to lazy to really check it out I just turn the sound off.

Oh yeah I think it's just my cheap set of speakers,

    Mouse muffler?
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.

This must be a 'feature' of XP - I have that prob also, but I tracked it down to being interference through the CD audio - always ON. I just mute the CD audio option in windows 'Volume Control' and all is quiet.

    Mouse muffler?

I've got to get one of those! The little bugger just chatters away all day - won't shut-up.

Had that happen once. I muted something in the sound control panel and that fixed it. I think it was the same as what bunyip said

  8. I hear it too, but only when I wear my headphones. Sort of a high-ish pitched "zzzzzzz"?

I use a Microsoft cordless mouse.

If I have my speakers on with no music, when I hit back/forward button there is a click. Also happens when I go to a new page. Why? and how do I stop?

I also have that problem. When listening to audio in WMP, if I scroll in IE, the music skips. Same thing happens when I type. What is it?

Oh ok, I've been meaning to try that out. Does it have all the same features as IE?

Hmmm... I just switched to a new soundcard (M-Audio Audiophile 24/96), and got the newest drivers.

  17. Heresy!

Mozilla is great. Firefox is even better. IE is only better in ONE way compared to Firefox... you don't have to install it.

  20. Just about.

The only thing is doesn't have is support for ActiveX. Some people would consider this a "feature" though...

Is there any way of adding some sort of plug-in for it? Or something similar?

Yes. I need that to interface with my work network when I telecommute and use Remote Desktop to access my work PC.
