  1. Wondering if anyone who also has this DVD recorder can help me on this issue. so far, this DVD Recorder does nearly everything i want it to, plus it has the nifty HD built in... However, I'm pretty frustrated by the apparent fact that you cannot program a timer recording set to record a show on a specific day of the week evry week... Instead, you have to manually insert every time you want to record something. that's just annoying...

Page 41 of the manual says it is possible to set the timer for "Every Sunday to Saturday, Monday to Thursday, Monday to Friday, Monday to Saturday, everyday" as well as the specific day. This is done by using the Frame/Adjust button on the remote when you are in the Day section of the timer settings.

  3. so far, all the frame adjust button (forward or reverse) just switches b/w days to record (i.e., from 10/14(Thu) to 10/15(Fri)). I can use the adjust button to set the timer over a month in advance, but still a no go for recording weekly or daily shows automatically.

any other advice? i appreciate your help!

Sorry, I thought I could find a solution in the manual. It suggests this should be similar to how my Pioneer DVR scrolls to those weekly options after running through the individual day settings. It's a basic programming feature in recorders anymore. It does note that you can use the up and down directional keys to make settings as well as the frame key.

  5. Just in case you havn't sorted it out yet.
Just go backwards on your date select (try to go to yesterday) and you'll get all the options. I've got as load of recordings now set up as every monday etc.

    have fun
