  1. I want to dl an asx audio file from a site I found. I can listen to it online and use Goldwave to stream and save it as wave file in real time and it would take tooooo longgggg.

Is there a way to download this asx file directly as if downloading an mp3???

    Thanks...

    Hi Admin,

These tools are the same as Goldwave aren't they? They record what ever you down stream. But I am looking for a way of saving the whole wma file which link from an asx file.

    Thanks...

  3. You could try uninstalling the codec or program that plays them. Sometimes the browser will then automatically prompt you for SAVE or PICK a program to play the file with.

  5. If you can get a hold of the URL of the asx file you can use Net transport or some other downloader to get the file onto your HD and then mollicate it to the encoding you prefer. This is what I do with the radio RAMS on the BBC website that I wish to save.

You can use NetTransport to down load from a ram link to get the whole content in rm format, but you can not burn it to CD, as least that what I know. Anyone???

I try doing the same to asx, but it does not work. Only the asx file (about 100k) came down as a link, but the wma file (the real content) do not come down. The wma file is what I want to download.

    Thanks...
