Here is a link to some info.
A Google search brought up that it is supposed to be released in Nov.

their spelling could use some work though

So could mine, but it hasn't stopped me yet....
Hopefully it will handle LAN access eliquently, and won't have issues with Xvid's multiple B frames/packed bitstream stuff. I wouldn't want to re-encode them all again.
Also, it says it supports vorbis, I wonder if it will support .OGM?

I second the hopes on XVid. My usual routine was/is to watch XVids on my PS2 (with PS2Reality 1.5), but lately they're all coming down with features that the PS2 just can't handle. It's just as quick to convert them to DVD as to convert them to better XVids, so I really no longer bother with burning the CD's.

Before getting to excited, I think you should read this thread:

There seems to be conflicting statements over on Doom9, but if it is supposed to be available at Best Buy then an in store tryout shouldn't be too hard.
Wouldn't hurt to do a search on the Divx forums, I will if I get time.

looks like they fixed the spelling .....
I'll ignore the other remark (but remember next time someone needs some water or oil or wood or electricity or ................ ::P
