Im trying to capture movies from my VCR and save them in MPEG2 format.
I just bought an ATI 9800 PRO all in wonder card for that purpose. The card comes with Pinnacle Studio 8.12
I'm having a problem with the video around the edges of the screen. It gets a white blur / flicker in the upper corner. The source tape is good quality, and I do NOT get the white blur / flicker when I plug the VCR into a regular TV.
Any idea why I'd get this problem when I plug the VCR into the ATI box using the same cables? I know my yellow video cable is not the best one out there (generic cheap one), but it works fine when plugging it into my TV.
Thanks

ditch pinnacle. i would use ati's software if possible. or with a program like virtualdub or virtualvcr there's settings you can use to cut out those edges
