Captured LDs via Canopus An to Dig convertor box.
Considering that I am encoding cartoons and framerate is less of an issue should I convert my DV to PAL and take advantage of the higher resolution?
Are there other issues which make this a bad idea?
Many thanks in advance.
Paul.

IMO, a fake resizing won't give you something for real.

Will it be a fake resizing?
The DV is significantly higher res than the final product will be. I would simply be encoding the DV into the higher res PAL format instead of NTSC.
Or am I getting confused. -
You should encode it to the standard used by your intended audience (=yourself), regardless of source.

the resolution is the same. i remember asking this question before. it doesn't matter whether pal or ntsc, it's the same resolution, can't remember why but just is.
