If I encode AVI video to MPEG-2 at 'best quality' settings, How much video (timewise) can I fit on a single layer DVD. I have 2 hour-8mm camcorder tapes that I ultimately want to burn to DVD and am wondering if they'll fit on one DVD. Thanks.

You look here:https://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=1#1 Use one of these bitrate calculators, input 2hrs or the exact time, input your DVD size. Plug these values into your encoder. 2 hours will fit just fine. May be slightly less than 'best quality'.
