  1. Just got one of the above, loads of fun and its on my wireless newtork also. I do not understand how to use half of the programs on it.

All I know is that with the mame emmulator I can play Street Fighter 2 on the plasma in Dolby Pro Logic 2X, that was worth £315 for a 15 year old game .

Try to play one of the Japanese SF2 games, the ones after CE .... they all crash here. Not enough RAM to load all the files.

MAME-X is better than MAMEoX in my experience.

Just a small question. Are you running an entirely different dashboard on you xbox to get the emulators to work. I never had any luck with them.

My Xbox at this point is used more for emulation then for Xbox games.

I thought about building an arcade cabinet with an xbox instead of a PC.

As far as game selection I like some of the Xbox games, but as an RPG fan the PS2 is more up my alley. Thats why I got the ultra cheap one from the store. (see my older thread)

I'll have to go back to xbox-scene (the videohelp.com of xbox mod sites) and try to make sense of the instructions for installing the emulators. The emulator sites don't seem to offer much help in this area. Man, I feel like a total chode.

Join #xbins on IRC to get a login/pass,then use ftp to download the newest Xemu's, there are usually detailed instructions on where to place the emu and roms included in the zip, you also might have to edit the emu's ini file to point to where your roms are located.
Just shut up and listen dumbass

  13. I use my modded xbox mainly for watching TV shows that get recorded on my server. kinda my own networked tivo system.

My kids play games and I like how you can copy the games directly to the hard drive. I now have the original game disks locked up so the kids cant destroy them

You should try that new game they have out for the XBOX. I think it's called Linux.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.
