Someone told me once that you can burn a DVD Rip directly to DVD and it'll be exactly like a DVD with menus and everything without conversion. How do I go about doing that? I just got a new laptop with a DVD burner. Or do I have to convert the file to MPEG2?
Any help is appreciated =)

I'm not sure u understand what I'm saying. I downloaded a DVD Rip and I want to put it on DVD. Can I do that without mpeg 2 conversion or will I have to convert? Someone told me u can put a DVD Rip str8 onto DVD and it'll have the menu and all the features that particular DVD has.

"DVD rip" does not mean DVD-R. It means the source was from a DVD the actually format you downloaded could be VCD, SVCD, DVD-R, XviD, DiVX, etc. Find out what format your movie is in then use one of the various guides to do the conversion. If you didn't download the DVD-R ISO format then you will need to convert, you will get no menus, etc, and there will be a degradation in quality.

Uhh... plus there's the "if you downloaded a DVD-rip it's probably illegal and you shouldn't be asking about it here" issue.

the file is between 700 and 800 mb.
It's in the avi format.
i guess i'll just have to convert it to mpeg2 =(Every woman is a black woman. -
