  1. Hi,

I'm a newbie when it comes to video stuff so please forgive me if this is a stupid question. First off I'm using only TMPGEnc DVD author to do my cuting pasting stuff. I am taking parts from different dvds and putting it into one. I'm successful on some of my first dvds but lately i have been getting this error and i don't know what it means.

"The combined bitrate of the clip exceeds the upper limit for a standard DVD
    The current bitrate is video:9800kbps, audio:192kpbs,combined 9992kbps.
The combined video and audio can be no more than 9.848Mbps."

what does this mean and how do i fix it? Can it be fixed using TMGPEnc dvd authoring as well??

    Please help.
    Thanx
    josh

it's not giving you an option to automatically re-encode?

It means that the bitrate is too high. Some player may have problem playing it, playback problems such as freezing, jumpy playback. But it can also be wrong bitrate in the video header. You could just try continue and if the dvd doesn't work well try dvdshrink it a bit.
