    Apex AD-5131. Got it for about $50-$70 or so at Sam's, don't remember. The PAL to NTSC conversion is fine, and the 5 trays are nice, but the overall quality of the video is pretty poor. That is the case with all lower end Apex's and most lower end players as well.

    Will this Apex AD-5131 play VCD as well? I have been looking for one for some months.

    VCDs and SVCDs both play fine. Apex had a little fiasco with VCD licencing though and certain firmware models don't support it. I'm not sure if it applies to this model or not, or whether a firmware upgrade could get around it or not. I bought mine before the issue arose I believe.

  5. Anyone else have experience with changer + pal->ntsc built in? The 5131 is a 3-disc changer, I'd prefer a 5.
