  1. Hey
i just started looking at this editing stuff (last night actually)I downloaded ABC video-roll but when i load in one of my DivX AVI clips it doesnt play the video and the audio(mp3) doesnt play properly either (it skips and jerks). Now my aim here is to simply take a .wav file and then take a few movie clips(without sound)and join them all maybe with some cool effects and then have the song playing in the background!should i be using something else instead of ABC video-roll?if so please only free programs i dont wanna buy anything!
    thanx alot

Try this, download TmpegEnc, which is free. select your video & audio file & multiplex them into one file. Read the How To section, that's where I learn most of the stuffs.

  3. If your working with AVI then your best bet would probably be Virtualdub, load all the segments (first one normally, second one as an append), then choose WAV audio and select a wav file. You could also use moveixone from aist.com (it's free), then after that it's premiere.
