    sorry for this question i know its kinda stupid. does anyone know if running other programs or downloading alot of things while encoding with tmpge affects the quality of the movie? thank you for your responses.

    Doesn't affect quality just encode time (ie. TMPGenc is very CPU intensive so running other programs slows it down). I run TMPGenc/CCE in the background while I check my email, run IE, etc. etc. No problems.
