  1. I finally came across a OpenDML AVI XviD that my DVP 642/17 will not play..

    Here are the details:

    The 642 does not like Open DML. I learned to turn it off when I multiplex with AVI_MUX. Nothing multiplexed with OpenDML on will play onthe 642.
    Demux it and multiplex with AVI_MUX and be sure to turn off OpenDML support and it should play.

    Demux it and Multiplex with AVI_MUX ?

    Virtual Dub can demux an avi file.

  5. use Nandub instead of VirtualDub since the audio in your file is VBR
