  1. I have Toshiba DVD+RW writer, and I can write data DVD+R without any problem. But when I inserted a blank DVD+R to create a video DVD using InterVideo WinDVD application, and clicked "Burn Movie", I could see an item "Erase" (as if I were using a blank DVD+RW !), and the application failed as soon as it reached the Erase phase.

Is there any way to tell Intervideo WinDVD that I am using a blank DVD+R, not DVD+RW ?

I wasn't aware that you could burn discs with WinDVD, do you mean WinDVD Creator?

  4. I realized that the total duration of all AVIs that I supplied for the DVD was about 248 minutes (and I set WinDVD Creator to create a 240 minutes disk), so it may have failed because of that. But it did not tell me why it failed, just said an "unknown error" at the burning phase, so I assumed that erase operation was the culprit.

I'll split my movie to 2 DVDs 240 minuts each, and will see if WinDVD Creator can handle that.
