I'm not spamming for DMHN, if that's what you're thinking... LOL! What I'm doing is trying to expand our field of knowledge.

We've come to a point in modding where a lot of stuff hinges on the ability to edit files that are no longer compatible with any of the older programs created by the "old school" programmers.

So what I'm wondering is this - do ANY of you guys have some resources available to you to do such things. What I mean is - do you know any programmers, or are involved in other gaming communities who know modders who have created 3d plugins or editing software that coud lend a hand. Their programs may not work on our files, but they may be able to view, read and possibly decypher our files and adapt their programs to work.

If you know of anyone else in any of the other communities of ANY game, ask them for help. The worst that can happen is they say - Sorry, I don't have the time, or they can't help because its not their field of expertise.

The problem we've been having lately is that there are a lot of texture modders, but very few programmers. When back in the day it was the other way around. This "brain drain" will slowly kill our modding community if we don't find ways to try and recruit help.
