this is a bit of a strange question but im hoping someone here can help, i have just backed up a few dvd's, i am using nero 6 for this and make an image of the disc and then copy to a blank disc, this is all automatic, the the disc image is placed on my slave hard drive, this is completley blank, but since i have copied a few discs i have noticed that it now says the 11.7 gb is being used on the hard drive, i have examined the drive and cant see anyting is on it, i have also defragged thr drive and its still says the same, if i carry on then a few more discs and the hard drive will be full as its only 40gb, yet the drive shows as blank when i explore it, please please please can someone help or recoomend somewhere i can post this in another forum that might help,

    Regards Pete

Maybe Norton Protection is turned on, if you have that. Or the recycle bin for that drive needs emptying?

Try right-clicking the HD in Explorer, and go to Properties. Then do a "Disc Cleanup" on it. See if tha helps.

If you'd like, I can move this thread to the Computer forum. You will probably get more knowledgeable answers there

i dont believe it, i looked in norton and for some reason the slave drive was set to protect files, i unset it, then used the unerase option to recover the discs images back onto the drive, i then deleted them from there and hey presto, i have my hard drive back again, i will keep a check on it but thank you very much for the suggestion
