  1. I have two AVI files. Both need subtitles and need to be joined together. I've tried the guides to add permanant subtitles in VirtualDub, but output quality is horrendous once I do so. I've figured out how to use VobSub in order to watch both files with subtitles on the computer, but what I want to have eventually is a single, complete AVI file with subtitles so I can use DVDSanta to burn it to DVD.

However I don't care if it doesn't turn out this way as long as I have the single file with subtitles on DVD, whether it be permanant subs or switchable. It doesn't matter as long as they're there.

And by the way the subs are in SRT format.

Thanks much in advance for help on this subject.

  2. Thanks for the links. I was playing around with TMPGEnc and VirtualDub and I've got it...it's long and complicated and probablu not very smart but it works...the only problem is I need to cut just 163 frames off of the beginning of the second half and it just won't do it; every time I try it leaves the 163 frames back in...any help?
