    Can a DVD player purchased in the USA playback DVD's purchased in India? Is it true that a majority of Indian DVD's are region free? If so does it matter if the DVD is PAL or NTSC

    If you want to be able to play DVDs from India, make sure the US player is multi system (NTSC/PAL) and the DVD is region free. The reegion codes has to do with which group of countries a DVD will play in.

    Most of their DVDs are probably Chinese pirates and would be region 0. Many of the Chinese DVDs are NTSC.
