    You weren't around when this was an issue, but it led to the eventual removal of post counts from posts. Actually, Baldrick had removed join dates too but reinstated those after several requested it.

    Post whoring had gotten out of control in August, and for a while there it looked like OT was on the way out because of that and the content of some threads. Baldrick even has the warning in the OT sticky saying "behave or I'll close OT".

    Post counts can now be seen by a hover-over on the little magnifying glass at the top of everyone's posts. Click it and you get all that person's posts.
