How is this for a collector's item of the SW legacy?
Bought this album from a pawn shop several years ago...and wouldnt you know it it was the only set they had left. Another guy was going to buy it but I already had my hands on it right before he did.....he let me go ahead and have it...lol.
With all of this SW craze now, I wouldnt be suprised if this album would have some sort of value now, and best thing is, this record album still plays great on my turntable.

I was suprised how little most of these things go for.
When I moved recently I went through my Dads old records and he had some collectable ones like the Jaws soundtrack. -

Well, maybe some folks like myself value their record collection still..oh yeah I know I can transfer them to CD (which i eventually will), but i will never trash my record collection. Ive always been an oldie collector myself. And speaking of 8-Track tapes, I still have 2 good-working units..both play and record too! The younger people of today dont appreciate the older things like people like me do. 8)

OOO Vinyl! Anyone remember the SW Xmas Album? Or a Meco's Star Wars & Other Galactic Funk? Got those and all 3 soundtracks, mint, on vinyl. Yes, a turntable is *STILL* an essential part of any stereo setup for me! BTW: I actually DO know what an 8-track deck is. I have an old Realistic recorder (w/ Dolby), but no blanks, so I've never been able to try out recording on it. *shrug*

Hello,
Wow!!! Nice!
I think my family has the Superman soundtrack on Record but not the Star Wars. I wasn't old enough to demand it!
I've got all three special edition 2 disc cd collector sets that were out in 1997. Sweet remix.

EDIT - How about this book????? I got it used years ago.

I think its been not enough time passed since they were replaced by CDs...
Perhaps in 100 years my potential offspring will benefit from their value, if they will keep'em that long LOL -
I'd stop playing the songs on the record and make sure the next time it does play, I'm recording it to my HDD. I'm the same way with Video and audio Cassettes. They degrade after each play. i try to save all the masters I can in as original state as possible. I'm just anal that way. Drives the wife nuts.

I've got that LP.
The disc is in Mint condition, and the jacket is in Near-Mint condition. No circular wear marks on the front jacket cover, either.
Not something I'll offer on eBay anytime soon. Kinda like my 'Definitive Collection' Widescreen LaserDiscs sets, in the original shrink-wrap.
All four sets. -

I used to have that double vinyl of Star Wars and now gone to a friend.
Never mind if any value and I still got some good old vinyls here even though now cut back to the best collection I can have.
The original SW soundtrack album I got was bought from a record store in Sydney.
Anyway, the sound as so good on the DVD as 5.1 Dolby surround.
The musical is pretty good to hear even though the films can be boring to watch.I am a computer and movie addict -
Did you know there is a Superman musical too? WTF? The last thing I would care about is going to Broadway and watch, in it's geatesty musical and operatic rendition, something like Mission Impossible or Terminator.

Hello,
They'll do anything to have a new "IN MUSICAL", what about that "LION KING"??!!??!?!

Another movie, non-musical, that bored the living shit out of me: A Man For All Seasons. It's another one I saw when I was young (9 or 10). Horrible, but not as bad as Music Man. That was boring, and offensive. -
Hello,

People still love the vinyl records.... we just had a yard sale last week and I was loading shit out on the tables and front lawn from 5am till 7am.
I came around the corner of the house at 6:15am and there was a guy looking through the 45's and 33's that we had put up on a table.... he was there for like 20 minutes... that and the sports memorabilia.... I opened at 7am and I had a lot of that sold before I 'opened' shop for the day...
I sold almost 80% of that stuff early on... almost sold the rest of the records around noon when a guy came by and asked how much I wanted for what was left (100 45's and 30 of the 33's) - I told him $30 makes it worth me not having to carry it back into the garage again.... cheap bastard said no and walked.... I must have made $150 on records and sports stuff.... -
There are some musicals I do like, but they were turned Movie. It didn't happen the other way around. Lion King Musical was something this world could have done without. I felt like I was at a Muppet show staging, only the actors that move the puppets could be seen. I had free tickets, but I should have scalped them to see a Mets game. I don't even like the Mets.
EDIT - I'm a Yankees fan.
