  1. I'm converting some divx movies in tmpgenc. is there a utility which you can use which will tell you if a movie is 16:9 (ws) or regular? it would help when using the tmpgenc wizard.

    hes right.. or jsut do a right click/properties then look under advanced. if teh resolution is equal then its standard format.. but 9 times outa 10 divx are wide screen the format will be something like 6xx by 2xx or something.. the numbers very but you get the idea.. that example i just posted is wide as you can see.

    B4 i get flamed.. im not saying divx have to be wide its just that hte majority of them are because we all want the full film not pan and scan
