  1. Ok i have a friend that is on a macintosh and me and him swap mpg's once and awhile and 60% of the time it says for me
"no combination of filters can be found to render the stream"

then in the help file it says it was encoded with a codec that windows media doesnt support
but it still wont play in BS player and i cannot fix it with mpeg corrector
and it will not open in tmpg encoder and i cannot find any free encoder that will encode from mpg to mpg
can anyone help figure a way to encode this to pc?

  2. That means the file is probably MPEG2 (SVCD) instead of MPeg1 (VCD). WinMedia supports MPeg1, but not MPeg2 - get a DVD-watching program like PowerDVD or WINDVD and install it. Then you can watch the file.
