hi. ive been using nero 6.0.0.0 for burning after dvd shrink. been getting playback jumps and freezing occasionally near the end of the disc, then burning speed dropped from 4x to 2x on my nec1300a.
i have uninstalled nero and replaced with older version. nero 5.5.10.56
my question is this....
is there any improvement with the quality of burn when upgrading nero or are these newer versions simply fresher interfaces and more functionality?
All i want to do is get the best quality burn.
cheers. matt

It's very doubtful that Nero is at fault. Problems towards the end of a DVDR are classic symptoms of bad/incompatible media.
You could try backing off the edge of the disc, i.e. enter a custom shrink size of 4.2 GB or less. Until, that is, you run out of the media you're using presently. Then get better media next time. Good luck.
Pull! Bang! Darn!
