  1. I have Roxio's CD Crator 5 Platinum , a Digital Camera and HP CD-Writer Plus 7200e. I'd like to burn my JPG digital photos onto CD-r and play on my DVD player. My DVD player says it works with DVD, VCD, CD-r, CD-wr, MP3. The Roxio manual isn't very clear and I tried to make a CD-r. It works on my PC CD-ROM but not on my DVD.

  2. You should try Ulead's Picture Show. Its a new program that does exactly what you are looking for. You can also use Ulead Video Studio 5 although a bit more expensive. Video Studio 5 makes great slideshows and you can add transitions, picture-in-picture along with some other effects not available in Picture Show. Only bad thing about Video Studio is that you have to get the Ulead DVD authoring software and you dont have to with Picture Show its included with it.

  3. I could not get Creator 5 to create VideoCD's correctly... I downloaded a demo copy of NERO and it works like a charm. Just drag and drop the photo's then burn...

  4. Here's a techie question:

I noticed that after I burned the VCD using Easy Creator 5 Platinum, that the .DAT files are name MUSIC01.DAT and MUSIC02.DAT and of course, it wouldn't play in my DVD player.

However, when I got Pinnacle Express DVD to work once (out of a couple dozen times), I noticed that the two files were named AVSEG01.DAT and AVSEG02.DAT (same mpg files being burned).

Is there a way to get those files renamed to the proper filename, or does it not matter?

    Thanks in advance.

    Thomas
