I have an avi video in the same folder as my sub and idx subtitle files. I do not have my DVD (vob, ifo, bup) files anymore or the original disk with me.

How do I burn the avi, idx, sub files together onto one DVD+RW? I tried loading the sub file in several programs including Subrip, Suttitle Workshop, Vobsub Resynch, but none of them seem to load the sub file for me.

Actually with Vobsub Resynch it asks me if i want to extend each letter of each subtitle word before saving it as SRT, is there an easier way??

    switchable subs
convert the avi to dvd mpeg.
convert the sub to sup. download subtosup from http://www.doom9.org/software2.htm .
author with ifoedit(no menus, only one video track).

    or
you should be able to open the sub in subrip and convert to srt subtitles. or download srt subs from www.extratitles.to
and then convert to dvd with switchable subtitles with diko, dvd2svcd or the filmmachine. or author with subtitles using dvdauthorgui, dvd-lab pro.
