Its been a while since I last saw them on TV (I don't have any of the VHS or laserdiscs). They were showing Empire Strikes Back the other day in the store and I just stood there and watched it til the workers came up to me and asked if I needed help. So I'll have to resist watching them before the extras.

I got mine from movietyme.com in the States on Tuesday, mail order companies get them first to allow for the send out time.

Lordsmurf - First of all there cleaned up prints. Second theres a commentary on all three by Lucas, ben burt, Denis muren and Carrie Fisher. Third there new 5.1 mix . Fourth - all new bonus disc with 2 1/2 hour new documentary and an Episode 3 preview! The bonus disc alone is worth buying the new set!

i have 4 5 and 6 on VCD lol LD and another version i got a while ago. I will be getting these too.. but prolly not for a while.. i need to save money for going to the bar..

Before i get flamed.. i know all my copies are lame but i never have time to really sit and watch all 3 so by the time i get around to buying them 3 will be out and i might get all 6 lol..

I plan on immediately ripping them to the hard drive, converting to XviD and making them available on eMoose with the artwork and everthing available as a self-extractable ZIP file.

I'll be sure to post my p2p name so everybody knows where to find them, and I'll have Baldrick sticky the thread for convenient access.

I do find that Amazon does advance deliver to make sure I get on the day of release.

Usually they send out a few days before the official date.

In fact I notice some retailers making new releases available early too. Usually a day or two.
