ai the moment i am currently transffering a series from VHS to DVD, via my canopus 100,winDV,tmpgenc and tmpg dvd authour and am using power dvd to capture some stills from the series to use for menus etc, but since rebooting my PC i can no longer get good steady freeze frames, ie the forzen frame is blurred where there is action, can anyone explain or offer any advice at the stage the problem is occuring, could i have put a different codec in or would that make no difference

power dvd doesnt take good quality snapshot from a video.à

i always had medium quality with it.

but why don't you try to take the frame(snapshot) in dvd lab???

just open the vids in the preview screen , go to the frame you want, then just drag and drop it in the menu screen you want.after that you can resize the pic to what you want.

    dvd lab did it perfectly.

    good luck
