    I have 2 hard drives on my computer the first being c: drive. My problem is the second dosen't have a designated drive. My device manager says it is working properly. How do i designate a drive so i can access it. Thanks.

    Go into Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Disk Management.

    From there you can allocate drive letters

    Just wondering, has the drive ever been used before? If it hasn't it needs to be formated, usually thats when it is assigned a drive letter.

  4. fdisk & then format usually. But a program like Partition Magic 8 does it all automatically for you.
